The Galaxy Type property categorizes the 3D structure of the galaxy. In Universe Sandbox, these categories are roughly based on the Hubble sequence.
There are three general types of galaxies in Universe Sandbox: spiral galaxies, elliptical galaxies, and irregular galaxies. Spiral and elliptical galaxies are further divided into subcategories based on their shape.

The Galaxy Type property is located near the end of the Properties section of the Galaxy tab in the galaxy's properties panel.
