The Lighting setting of a simulation determines how light reflects off objects, making them visible to the camera.

There are three options for lighting objects in a simulation, based on the source of light:

  • Realistic
    • Light is produced by stars. If there are no stars present in the simulation, objects are lit from the negative z-direction.
  • Studio
    • Light is produced by a virtual light source from behind the camera to the upper left.
  • Flashlight
    • Light is produced by a virtual light source from the direction of the camera.
